At least next year, it will be a heck of an accomplishment to get to 6 and 6. Maybe Iowa will surprise us and win 7!
That’s the emotion of the moment talking. No one would do that. Great special teams and winning the penalty and turnover battle always gets you to 8 wins. That’s why KF has hit that number or better with incredible consistency.I’ll put my house and family on the under for 6 wins.
2. I think you're safe in that bet.How many wins does Kirk need for the record? If he doesn't get it next year I'll do a swan dive off the old cap
I agree. No chance at 6 especially with all the strikeouts in the portal. The future is bleak.I’ll put my house and family on the under for 6 wins.
Nah. I’ve been saying it for some time. The schedule and experience that’s leaving says ugly for next seasonThat’s the emotion of the moment talking. No one would do that. Great special teams and winning the penalty and turnover battle always gets you to 8 wins. That’s why KF has hit that number or better with incredible consistency.
Importantly, how many wins does he need for the record AND 60%? We need Franny to post his stat update. How many wins does Kirk need for the record? If he doesn't get it next year I'll do a swan dive off the old cap
Will tie record vs Albany, will break it against UMass. He has absolutely no chance of finishing with a >.600 record now; would need to win 9 next season.Importantly, how many wins does he need for the record AND 60%? We need Franny to post his stat update.
Welp, there's always the Wrigley Gum HOF!Will tie record vs Albany, will break it against UMass. He has absolutely no chance of finishing with a >.600 record now; would need to win 9 next season.
He's been at Iowa for a quarter of a century. If he buried the program it was the very program he himself built up.3-9. **** Ferentz. Buried the program. Would’ve loved him if he retired last year or even this year. Instead, he’s ****ing the program hard
True. I just don’t see many wins on the schedule. But you never know.6-6 is best case.
Burying it to make the job to rebuild all the more difficult for the successor! He's been at Iowa for a quarter of a century. If he buried the program it was the very program he himself built up.
Address?I’ll put my house and family on the under for 6 wins.
Fry changed the culture of Iowa football in modern times. Look up the history. He's been at Iowa for a quarter of a century. If he buried the program it was the very program he himself built up.
There's 3 for sure, then 4 tossups, and 5 likely losses.Name the six wins!
More so playing a Big Ten West schedule got you to eight wins. We ain’t in Kansas anymore Toto. That’s the emotion of the moment talking. No one would do that. Great special teams and winning the penalty and turnover battle always gets you to 8 wins. That’s why KF has hit that number or better with incredible consistency.
Im thinking Albany and Umass are definite wins. I’d say we are favorites (slight) against Minnesota and Michigan State at home, so let’s call those two both wins. @Iowa State, @Rutgers, and @Wisconsin are toss ups to me, I’ll say we just win one of these games because they are all on the road. So that’s five wins. I think we will be decent underdogs against Penn State, Indiana, Oregon, @USC, and @Nebraska. Legs give us one win here.Name the six wins!
I’ll name 8: Albany, isu, UMass, Rutgers, Minny, Wisconsin, Michigan State, and Nebby. 😉Name the six wins!
He hits that number because of an easy schedule. Iowa was protected by playing in the B1G West so many years. That’s the emotion of the moment talking. No one would do that. Great special teams and winning the penalty and turnover battle always gets you to 8 wins. That’s why KF has hit that number or better with incredible consistency.
6-6 😂😂😂😂 with that roster and schedule … 4-8 with luck 2-10 is in playAt least next year, it will be a heck of an accomplishment to get to 6 and 6. Maybe Iowa will surprise us and win 7!
Yeah, 6-6 is reaching the ceiling. 7-5 earns Kirk Coach of the Year given just how f***ing awful this roster is gonna be on both sides.6-6 is best case.
Correction , it gets you 8 wins against a baby soft schedule which we’ve had in the pathetic BIG West and this year. 0-9 against ranked teams recently. The schedule gets better next year. This program is ****ed.That’s the emotion of the moment talking. No one would do that. Great special teams and winning the penalty and turnover battle always gets you to 8 wins. That’s why KF has hit that number or better with incredible consistency.
A winless B1G season is not entirely out of the question. Wouldn’t that be a hoot - KF’s 27 seasons bookended with 0-fer B1G gems? He wouldn’t be the only Hawkeye crying.Yeah, 6-6 is reaching the ceiling. 7-5 earns Kirk Coach of the Year given just how f***ing awful this roster is gonna be on both sides.
I do think our skill positions will be okay, but the OL being a wash from this year's group would be an optimistic outlook. The DL may be slightly better, the LBs are gonna be the worst in the Ferentz era, I shit you not, and the DBs will continue to operate under Phil's system, good against average QBs and receivers....and garbage against teams with speed, that play up tempo and know how to attack our flat-footed f*** DBs sitting in our soft ass zone while mobile, athletic QBs pick us apart with timing routes.............*kicks table*.
Albany W
At Iowa St L
UMass W
At Rutgers W (if we lose this game, sell the farm and abandon ship)
Indiana L
At Wisconsin W (Fickell is toast)
Penn State L
Minnesota L (end of the Ferentz Era is near)
Oregon L
At USC L
Michigan State W
At Nebraska L (We had to assess where Iowa was as a program............and our conclusion is that at 5-7..........Kirk Ferentz...............
)
Well he needs 88 more loses for the other recordHow many wins does Kirk need for the record? If he doesn't get it next year I'll do a swan dive off the old cap
