Ward has beaten the NCAA #2 and 4 on her way to the semis. She’ll have Dymond Guilford who is adding a bit of the Midlands of old to this tournament. If she can pull it off, I’m not sure how we don’t see Welker and Ward ranked 1 and 2 in the next poll.Iowa has 12 semifinalists
101-Dias, E. Gonzalez
109-Bayless
116-B. Gonzalez
123-Taylor
136-Han
143-Larramendy, Schmit
170-Welker, Ward
191-White
235-Calkins

Kinda upset Ward did nothing in that match. She’s mean when she gets on top.All but Schmit & Ward advance to the finals. Ward had a close 0-2 loss to Guliford, who is/was a Sr level world team member.
Han had 5 pins and a TF which is weird for freestyle. Very cool.
She has a very unique style. Fun to watch.
Curious if the Guilford losses for Welker and Ward will actually count towards their collegiate record. Post grad matches for the men are not recorded as part of their collegiate record.Women's Records after today (might not be 100% accurate)

I read she's an international judo champion. Very good at throwing opponents straight to their back, as demonstrated here (on a beauty of an inside trip), after she goes down 4-0 on a counter (highlight is from the other school, so no video of the pin)...Han had 5 pins and a TF which is weird for freestyle. Very cool.
