Not sure if this podcast has been discussed on here. It isn’t new and they have even started a version about the 2000’s. I’m sure a decent amount of our hrot music lovers will enjoy it as much as I do.

I’m kind of late to the game on this show but it’s really well done and pretty addicting. Even when they highlight a song that i don’t like, the guy (Rob) mixes in so much additional context that makes it worth a listen.

Any fans of the show here? Favorites episodes?

The episode on the Johnny Cash’s ‘Hurt’ is a must listen. But maybe not the first one I’d suggest to get familiar with the podcast format. I’d say picking a more lighthearted song would be the best way to dive in.

Ooo...this looks really good. Debating whether to start with the 90s or 00s.

Thanks for sharing!

Just listened to the episode about ‘Mr Brightside’. Super good stuff. I love how the episodes are really only using a song for a jumping off point but he really talks more about the music scene around that song.

On some episodes, Rob is 20 minutes into his monologue before the subject song (or band) is even mentioned.

I just took in the PJ Harvey episode (Down By The Water). It was pretty good but not a fave. Just started the Beck (Loser) episode and it it is so good I had to share.

Side bar: I absolutely love PJ Harvey. Need to tack to a few albums there.
