Oil was 78 dollars/barrel when Putin invaded...it quickly shot up to 124 dollars/barrel 6 weeks later. It remains at 114 dollars/barrel today.

How is that relevant to the post? The issue the post raised was the Fox viewers believing left wing protesters were the rioters.
Why would people turn to Fox if they weren't challenged? By mistake, maybe. If so, how long would it take to realize it was a mistake. If not challenged, the humor wears off in a few minutes and boredom sets in.
The viewer, obviously searching for news and information looks for a channel with quality and information.
