Just watched the Yacht Rock documentary last night. Really good stuff. Although I wouldn’t necessarily consider them Yacht Rock, it all started with Steely Dan.
Maybe the greatest name for a band ever.

I saw Ambrosia back in '80 or '81 at the Music Hall when Omaha still had its Civic Auditorium. Good show. John Cougar was the opening act. CSB.

"England Dan" is Dan Seals, who is the younger brother of Jim from Seals and Croft. After he and John Ford Coley split, he had several big country hits. He was a very talented musician and songwriter.
Before I killed my Sirius XM subscription, I think the yacht rock channel had this on a 30 minute rotation.
That's a young Vince Gill, when he used to go to Farah Fawcett's hair stylist.
Growing up in the 70s, this topic is right in my wheel house. I love soft rock or yacht rock or whatever they call it.
