By the way, Merry Christmas everybody!

Here's the what, clear into the 2018-19 season

Seniors:
Williams
Wagner
Baer
Ellingson

Juniors:
Bohannon
Dailey
Moss
Pemsl
Kriener
Cook

Note. One of the guards above will have transferred but I'm not going to guess who. Cook is 50/50 to be at Iowa as a Junior, looking to go pro possibly after his Junior year if he hasn't already done so.

Sophomore's
Conner McCaffery
Luka Garza
Jack Nunge

Freshmen:
Joe Weskamp
A.J. Green
Joey Hauser

Here's the how:

I love Andrew Francis but for him to pursue his career it's getting to be time to take a coaching gig at a smaller school. That opens the door for a hire of Kyle Green, the third year UNI Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator, who as it is needs to move to a bigger school to keep improving his professional resume. And, despite rumors of his dislike for Iowa, there sure seem to be enough contacts between the schools to believe that he'd enjoy the stability of a program that isn't too far away to make his change.

That opens the door for Hauser, who has played with both Wieskamp and Green with the Barnstormers and why not keep that trio together?

That is 14 players if one counts. Even expecting one transfer, and Cook staying. But certainly somebody else will be gone by then. And if not, Conner just might find that walk-on lasts longer than planned.

We then have, with the support of the seniors, a roster that has more than enough talent to compete for a Big Ten title. All luck of course hopefully with us.

And we're looking a year away from still having the makings of another Big Ten Championship and quite likely one heck of a recruiting class which includes Patrick McCaffery and two, maybe three more guys!

Ho Ho Ho, the good little team gets the present and the bad little teams can have a lump of coal!

Bold predictions but nothing that couldn't happen! Love watching this team grow and especially the Jok show, but part of me would like to fast forward to next season Haha. I'll just sit back and enjoy the ride I guess. Cheers!

Who's Iowa's go to scorer next year when Jok is gone? Pretty awesome Iowa will most likely have a 1st Team all B1G player for 4 straight years.

I'm crossing fingers that one of the departing guards isn't Dailey. I am (still) a proponent of Maishe taking a red shirt because I think he ends up instead with what I call a red short (....a red short is attained by virtue of a nasty rash which appears on the back end of a player who sits for extended lengths of time without entering the court while the game clock is running) but I really like his skills. Really no minutes for MD unless the team suffers another nasty type of rash - injuries. Hope he hangs in there for a better shot next year.

Merry Xmas, Dan! You're insane! In a good way!

The unforeseen changes that are woven in your forecast will alter your plans, but I'm sure it's still a solid plan. Granted, with some tweaking.

I've been thinking about this year for a long time. Also the following year. I've seen joe he's the real deal he was 16th when the first Espn ranking came out but fell because he told the bluebloods to F off he's a hawk.

Weird thing is there isn't a single bad player on this team and playing time will be hard for Fran. This freshman class, when they are juniors and seniors might get Iowa to the elite 8 or final four. Which every Iowa fan deserves. After this year and maybe next Iowa is going to be a powerhouse.

Fran is finally getting the recruits he wants and has the best eye for talent in the big ten imo. Can't wait!!!!

There's something about this group of players that seems more confident and less rattled than the last generation of players, who were themselves great Hawks and had very good careers turning it around for Iowa.

Only time will tell but Pemsyl, Cook, Moss and Bohannon can be around for 3 and 2/3 mores seasons. Three best bench players are sophomores, assuming Cook displaces Wagner.

I think Williams is the most likely transfer. Daily is a combo guard who seems more talented than Williams. Interesting to see if Daily starts getting minutes behind Bohannon.

I thought I read where the Hauser train had left the station for the Hawks. Hope that was wrong and we can pull him in.

Cook will never play in the NBA. He is so overrated by you guys... geesh.

It's as much hyperbole that Cook won't play in the pros than that he will, give it a rest.
