A preseason game could eventually happen

Voters, pollsters, and even the committee would likely consider these games all things being equal.
Assuming it resembles a real game and not a combined practice.
Good news is it might be another way to make money for FCS schools.

We already struggle to get to the finish line with a healthy team, I'd rather not give them an opportunity to have season ending injuries before the season even begins. Anyone remember the last time our QB1 wasn't injured for the last game of the year? Neither do I.
I like that idea a lot, 2 august exhibition games would take the normal rust out of Kirk's Hawks and they would be ready to really go after the 1st non conf game and be in November shape by mid-Sept
Up front, I did not listen to the podcast. But if playing preseason games will take the cupcakes off the schedule I am all for it. Play as many conference opponents as you can. Donate to the cupcakes; Troy State etc. to keep them alive, then have a full big boy schedule.
I would be all for it. My assumptions is the games would end up similar to the NFL preseason games. Starters are going to play a series or two and then sit. Then lets get a looks at the backups and incoming freshmen. Good on-field experience for the younger guys.
I want to claim credit for the idea since I've only been pitching it for the last 7+ f***ing years.............
