A Shot at History

As of today, the late Roy Marble, 2,116 points - Luka Garza, 1861. That’s a difference of 255 points. We have 14 games left. Regular season only, and God willing, no games getting cancelled. That means Luka has to average 18.2 points a game to catch up with Roy. And of course, there’s post season, hopefully. I don’t know about anyone else, but as someone who’s been watching the Hawks for the last 50+ years, this excites me beyond description, winning a Big Ten title, omg, getting to Final 4, I’ll be tap dancing on the streets (ok, maybe not, my knees and back wouldn’t comply), winning a national championship, and I’ll move back to Iowa City despite hating the weather. Here’s to all these history making moments we may be enjoying this season while some fans are navel gazing, without any coaching experience or having watched these kids play anywhere except on TV, which one of them should get more minutes!
