If Alabama loses this Saturday and NW wins..

NW has wins vs #11 Stanford and Duke (Quality win, should be 7-1 but 6-2)
Losses to #9 Iowa and #15 Michigan

Alabama has wins vs #19 Texas AM and Wisconsin (Quality win, 6-2)
Losses to #2 LSU and # 18 Ole Miss

In theory they should be ranked right next to each other correct? That's about as equal as it gets. I will be looking for Alabama to drop to 19-20 with a loss this week. (sarcasm)

And just think if they beat Iowa (who would probably be 20-25 if that happened) they would have BY FAR a better resume than Alabama and both be 7-1. However no chance in HELL they would be in top 4..

No if Alabama loses to LSU by 1 then LSU will jump to 1 and Alabama will move to 2 because their quality losses prove they should be there. Get with it.

Also have heard SEVERAL talking heads say Alabama turned it over and crazy stuff happened and thats why they lost to Ole Miss so it's the norm.. How about AM throwing three pick sixes against Alabama or Tennessee missing three field goals. That doesn't get held against them yet they benefit from a bad performance against Ole Miss.

Let me help....."Alabama stifling defense created those turnovers in the A&M game and their FG defense was unbelievable against Tennessee"

I don't think the Committee has a problem. If Alabama loses, they get dropped to #5 for a week. Simple.

We bitched about the BCS and now we have a committee that is star struck by the blue bloods. What a joke.

They cherry pick facts to suit their arguments...

It is the same thing I have heard over and over about the Wisconsin game this year. "If Stave doesn't turn the ball over at the 1 yard line, Iowa loses". Totally disregarding the fact that Iowa also had the ball TWO TIMES inside the Wisconsin 10 yard line themselves and came away empty.

This is why it should be the the top 8 Conference champ only. Then the argument would MAC champ or Sun belt champ the big 5 will always be one of the top 8.

Talking heads say Stanford's loss to Northwestern was due to the fact they had to travel East for the game with Northwestern. But didn't Iowa travel East to play NW, as well?

If Stanford did the entire trip in a bus, like Iowa, then I will buy that argument. But I bet they did not! My guess is the travel time was about the same duration.

The Talking Heads should just stick to music.
