A week of history for Iowa basketball

What a week for Iowa basketball history. Last night Luka becomes the all time high scorer for Iowa basketball with perhaps (hopefully) another 10 games left to extend the record. We were all "there" to see it. His record is a testament to what hard work can deliver. The record couldn't belong to a more deserving player and hopefully at the end of the year he'll sweep the POTY awards as well.

JBO is already the all time 3 point leader in school history. On Thursday he will become the all time assists leader in school history. It's especially sweet I'm sure for JBo who still gets dismissed as a true point guard by many. If the all time leader in assists doesn't measure up to some people's expectations of a point guard there's not much left to say. Another huge individual accomplishment in a year of history for Iowa basketball.

Kind of similar to 06 when Horner was the 3 pt and assists leader and Brunner was rebounding leader (I'd take their 3 seed too). The 10 extra games he got to play certainly didn't hurt but jbo would have been close anyway which is a pretty amazing accomplishment considering his next best offer was probably DePaul. These 2 have done a lot for Iowa basketball, hope fran can build on it

Great accomplishments by JBo and Luka. 2 all time great Hawkeyes. Weezie went over 1,000 points this year as well. Now it's time for these players to come together and achieve greatness as a team.
