Of course we could just win....and then not have to worry about where we go if we lose. Yeah?.....
Honestly at this point even if MSU gets into the title game and beats us, I cannot see us falling lower than the Rose or possibly the Fiesta Bowl.
12-1 Iowa with their ONLY loss coming to the B1G Title winners should be enough to get us to Pasadena or Tempe over tOSU. PLUS if Stanford takes care of Notre Dame, Auburn Shocks Alabama or OSU takes care of Oklahoma then we may still have an OUTSIDE shot at getting into the playoff even if we did lose just the CCG.
But like other posters have said, just win next week against whomever we match up against and we wont have to worry about "What If's" only "Which" CFP location we will be headed to for the 1st semi.

Actually I'll be counting on it every year now until the day that Ohio State football is done.
Because nobody wants Ohio State to win and this year shows that even with all their NFL-caliber players and top tier recruits that denying them a spot in the Big Ten championship (let alone just being able to beat them) is very much a possibility.

OSU is now awake and looks like they're back to form, I'll take MSU in the title game.
Agree OSU looking really difficult to beat now that they have woken up, but I have a hard time cheering for MSU. Feels kinda yucky.
MSU defense going to be tougher than Pitt? We had hard time running on PItt and they really beat up Beathard. It is going to take Iowa's best game.
I think I like MSU match up better than OSU because we have had some success vs MSU in past and they are built like us. The do have better pass rush and better passing game but Beathard is a gamer and can make plays with his feet if he can stay healthy. OSU scared me a little because that option game with Barrett running from QB position would give Iowa defense fits and they have so much speed on defense, that would give us fits also.
WE need King to be playmaker and get the ball for us from Cook. Mabin looked a little better vs Nebraska...will need to bring his A game vs MSU.
Iowa will be the underdog, no doubt. But I like their chances against msu better than tosu.
Obviously, this is why Michigan was the first pick to play in the BTCG, but it was well-established that they'd be up against an angry bunch of Buckeyes. So the next best bet was Michigan State because they have the less versatile offense between them and Ohio State. Cook is a pocket passer and he's a bit banged up still, though he looked fine today.
MSU is just as physical on defense although not quite as loaded as Ohio State, and they've been banged up throughout the season.
The one difference between OSU and MSU though is that the turd bag, curmudgeonly Dantonio will pull all sorts of fakes and trick plays, especially in a game like this. And often, regardless of how well it's read/defended, sometimes these kind of plays end up being 50/50 and can make a huge difference in the outcome of the game. And no, there's nothing against doing that stuff....but I'll hold it against a guy like Dantonio on principle.
Morehouse just retweeted something from Mandel that said the only way that OSU ends up in the Rose is if Iowa is in the playoff, i.e. Iowa would be in the Rose with a loss. Saying OSU to Fiesta. FWIW.
Let's just win on 12/5 and make this issue moot.

Fun fact, for those of you who care so much about it...if we make the CFP, that will mean that Kirk Ferentz STILL hasn't taken Iowa to the Rose Bowl.........just sayin, since it means that much to some people.
