Aaliyah Guyton, ‘24 WBB PG commit, tears ACL

Yep. Probably won't see her play next year now, and there will probably be BIG shoes to fill at the point.....
Yeah I would guess the earliest she can get on the court would be November right? Rly not enough time to get ready. Almost wonder if she should take a RS. If her recovery is long it may not matter.

Wish her the best but maybe it saved her from being on the list of gals who tore it here…..we seem cursed with knees here.

Bad deal, I was looking forward to seeing her play next year, her pops was a stud. Sure seems like gals knee tendons are weak as fock:confused:

I hate to say it but it's time to go back to six-on-six girls and women's basketball.

But seriously, I did not know this was such an issue. I met with an old classmate who did play the six-on-six game (we be ancient). Emblazoned on her knees were two ugly scars, quite frankly, remnants of a bygone game and bygone invasive surgical techniques (thankfully).

She thought her game was harder on the knees with all the sudden stopping at half court. The SI article spoke of the modern game being more demanding. Whichever the case, it's heartbreaking.
