Aaron Ulis?

We are officially in the part of the season where minutes are gonna get cut dramatically for the bench. I would guess we’re not going to see much of Ulis, and PMac/CMac and Sandfort minutes are going to depend heavily on matchups. Kris probably is going to play 30 minutes minimum now too.

Don't know, BUT the flu hit Pmac and Sandfort last week, maybe Ulis under the weather?

Did anyone hear an explanation why Ulis didn’t play today? I didn’t see it mentioned during the game or in postgame.
I think Sandfort stole his minutes in the first half , no idea on second . Might have not been feeling well

Fran stayed with Joe , PS, Connor and the Murray’s for 10 + minutes in first half . They played well defensively as a group and were +18 together I think

Minutes vary in every game for many of the players based on performance, theirs or someone else’s as Fran is sticking with the hot players. Joe played really well in the first half and Tony in the second half. The players seem to accept the playing time and someone is stepping up each game. I expect Ahron’s time will come.

I have no info, but Joe might have stolen all his minutes because of how well he played
JoeyT was great handling their defense and I'm sure that's why. Made sense not to play Ulis. Was very impressed with Fran's lineup adjustments and he's been killing it. When the starters were yanked in first half slow start and turnovers and ran for quite a while with the bench I loved it as they were playing great. So many times coaches get crucified for their rotations. Yesterday's game was great to see the various PT distributed.

Give Fran credit where it’s due. He’s ridden hot hands lately and it’s turned out well.
Agree. Fran has stayed with hot hands and it has paid off. In looking at minutes played, Keegan had 35 and everyone else at 25 or less so team should not be overly tired. Rutgers starters all played 30 min or more as I recall.

Yeah, this would have been the type of team Ulis normally would have played against given their aggressive defense and quickness. He is our most consistent ball handler (tends to struggle a bit when taking it into heavy traffic would be my critisism). Ulis' game is a bit more vanilla than Joe T. but he is a more smooth ball handler and turns the ball over less. He is one of our better on ball defenders and has pretty good size. Unfortunately, his shooting has not improved, which is frustrating. He just never looks comfortable, maybe overthinking. I believe he is still well within the rotation, but I am fine leaning into Joe given his short and mid range shooting game is better.
