Abstinence-Only High School Hit by Chlamydia Outbreak, of course

Good thing teenaged pregnancy and STD's are non-existent in better educated states.

Well thats aiming towards the truth. FL seems to have a rare moment for pride hitting above their weight class.

If it forces the religious to question the impracticality of their idiotic beliefs that hold us as a country back (it won't), then it's great thing.
Does this apply for gun violence too? Do you enjoy seeing mass shootings to further your agenda? Serious question.

It's that darn hot weather in the South. Up North we stay bundled up for most of the year. In the South you have more opportunities to bone.

LOLZ, OP. The funny thing is that the Chlamydia rates in that school's county (Crane) are much, much lower (256 per 100,000) than the rest of the state (#11 Texas with 489 per 100,000 people) and much, much lower than the worst twenty five states Chlamydia stats (#15 New York had 489 per 100,000 people and #22 California 439 per 100,000 people). See link. In addition, while that school district didn't have a sex ed curriculum, they did have 3 days of sex ed in the fall in which abstinence was one of the prevention techniques that were discussed. So yeah, that "abstinence-only" high school isn't very effective.

Edit: Made sure to include the New Mexico picture at the top of that link. Would.

3 days of sex ed? Texans are failing their children. The Catholic school I went to gave 6 weeks starting in the 5th grade.

You went to a Catholic school? Sorry about that Nat honest question would you have celebrated getting touched by a priest if he was hot like a straight 15 year old boy would with a female teacher?

We had a hot priest in 6th grade, but I didn't get a second look. I Think that's probably a good thing. We had a not hot priest who used to steal porn and toss it up in the wooded hill behind the church. He eventually got arrested and the church sent him off for some rehab.

To be fair, we didn't learn about birth control a million years ago when I was in school and yet managed to figure out that condoms were a good idea. Things are waaaayyy more open today so if kids don't know that they should use condoms there are probably a lot more people failing them than the public school system.

And Natural, why did I think you went to AL?

I switched over to public school after 6th. St. Albert k-6, Kirn and then AL. When I got to Kirn, they were using the same text books St. Albert had used in 6th grade. The public school also started their sex ed in 7th as a semester course that also covered other life skills like first aid, banking, nutrition, etc.

More need for cuddle-warmth up here. I'll bet more children are born in summer than winter, but have never looked it up.

This Florida High School had some tough budget issues
They had to combine Drivers Ed. and Sex Ed in the same
car. Now you know the rest of the story.

Ehh, a little chlamydia never hurt anyone. Clears right up with some antibiotics.

I wonder how many of them contracted it orally or anally because they were trying to stay "virgins", lol.

Or believed Bill Clinton that this isn't sex.
