Actor Henry Silva has passed away.

Silva was an actor who was typecast into tough guy and criminal roles early on, which he turned into a long lasting career. He appeared in the original Ocean's 11, and had a cameo in the remake. One of his best known roles came in the Mancurian Candidate. For me, as a child of the 1980s, I'll remember him fondly for his role in Amazon Women On The Moon.

I couldn't find his TCM memories of working on the original Oceans 11. IIRC he was amazed that the Rat Pack who never seemed to sleep-when they weren't doing their night club acts, they were filming the movie. And they were having a blast doing so.
