Sexual misconduct allegations

On October 29, 2017, actor Anthony Rapp alleged that Spacey, while appearing intoxicated, made a sexual advance toward him at a party in 1986, when Rapp was 14 and Spacey was 26.[119][120] Rapp had also shared this story in a 2001 interview with The Advocate, but Spacey's name was redacted from publication to avoid legal disputes and public outing.[121] Spacey stated through Twitter that he did not remember the encounter, but that he owed Rapp "the sincerest apology for what would have been deeply inappropriate drunken behavior" if he had behaved as asserted.[122][123] On September 9, 2020, Rapp sued Spacey for sexual assault, sexual battery, and intentional infliction of emotional distress under the Child Victims Act.[124]

Fifteen others then came forward alleging similar abuse,[125] including Boston anchorwoman Heather Unruh, who alleged that Spacey sexually assaulted her son;[126][127] filmmaker Tony Montana; actor Roberto Cavazos;[128] Richard Dreyfuss's son Harry;[129] and eight people who worked on House of Cards.[130] The Guardian was contacted by "a number of people" who alleged that Spacey "groped and behaved in an inappropriate way with young men" as artistic director of the Old Vic.[131][132][133]

Spacey also appears on flight logs from Jeffrey Epstein's private jet from the early 2000s.[134]

I'd let him suck my D if I could get a million bucks out of it.

Not sure I could get hard but I'd try my damnedest.

Did the defense lawyer have actual proof that the men who accused him were liars?

IDK I have a hard time believing he didn't do this stuff. So many people accused him and the killer for me was when the accusations happened he didn't proclaim innocence or claim they were lying. Instead he came out and said "Oh by the way I'm gay". . . As though people were mad because Kevin Spacey stayed in the closet and not because he sexually assaulted people some of whom were children.

Bunch of other accusations outside of this case. Still very suspect

No I know I think I saw 18 accusations and this one only covered 4.

I'm just curious about the details because the article says that Spacey's defense lawyer claimed that the people who accused him were all liars. But in court they tend to require you to show evidence of something. Did he actually show evidence that these guys lied as a habit or that they had a history of lying to try to take advantage of someone or that they were lying about their accusations?

I love those reels where an interviewer asks straight males how much it would take to let a dude suck them and they say they wouldn't do it for any amount money... liars.

This falls right in line with cases where criminal behavior cannot be proven, or may not have even happened, but the person is clearly a sexual menace nonetheless.

I'm not so inclined to believe productions will be in a huge hurry to bring him on just because he's not technically a rapist, but "merely" a relentless sexual pest.

I saw him on Broadway in "A Moon for the Misbegotten" once.

He played an Irish (by heritage) drunk and was brilliant. The story was that after a successful run in New York, he returned home to lead a debauched life in Connecticut .... and also, to reconnect with a fat girl from his youth who he had secretly yearned for while he was gone. (Something along those lines) My sense was that he had always been told that he could do much better in matrimony than to team up with a constantly drunk and chubby girl ... but that he had finally decided to follow his heart and his taste for drink. It was great in a Eugene O'Neill kind of way.

He has a track record of reviving classic theatrical shows, even to arranging financing and production. He picks great material.

I am looking forward to a comeback. This is definitely good for the theater world.

Don't know how I feel about this.

On one hand he was found not guilty.

On the other he probably did something.

Was a great actor. Hope he stays out of the spotlight and just keeps his parts to himself.
Being creepy isn’t illegal and shouldn’t cost you work, IMO.

I know others disagree.

Dude’s a fvcking creep. Find a significant other, instead of preying on young men or minors in bars. He could have easily hooked up with somebody in a long term relationship. He sucks.

If being creepy distracts the audience from enjoying your performance. It cost Mel Gibson, OJ, Michael Jackson, etc etc work. It's a special industry.

I am sure he also did this to a point. The homosexual lifestyle seems to have room for lots of variety though and wide-open relationships ... and he appears to have been an enthusiastic and loyal adherent to the endeavor ... probably still is.

The estate of Michael Jackson seems to be doing quite well. My sense is that the estate is more than making up for any shortfalls during his later years. His true fans seem to be incredibly forgiving.

(There are even Michael Jackson themed slot machines in the local casinos.)
