I’ve been saying Mazur has big league stuff. He very well could wind up being a 1st round pick.
Yeah well make sure nobody tells him that, so he can come back to Iowa and help us win a national championship.

Iowa pitching coach has done wonders with Mazur and the staff for awhile now, the recent article on him was very well done. I thought he was an 'above average' pitcher at SD and now he has MLB 1st round talent, pretty amazing solidifying our Fri night starter!
The Sunday DMR article on pitching coach Lund was amazing.
His expertise turned Mazur from average to a 1st rounder.

I was just going to comment on this - I think. There is an article on HawkCentral about Lund and his crazy journey. The whole pitching staff has improved from fall. The team opponent batting average is .198. Next best in B1G is .220 or .230 (can't remember). Also Lund was raise practially in Alaska! WAY north of Edmonton Alberta (and Edmonton is already way north). Went to live with families in Idaho that he didn't even know when he entered high school.
