Plenty of people have experience with this. They saw a doctor and were prescribed speed.

file for disability compensation. I had a grandpa who served
in WWII and suffered from a partial loss of hearing due to
being in the Tank Corps under General George Patton.
He was given an annual compensation for his disability.

I work with lots of meth addicts and many go get themselves diagnosed with ADD so they can have a prescription for an amphetamine so they can still get high. There is no "test" that I've heard of.

While I have my own concerns regarding the over-diagnosis of adult ADD most of my colleagues don't prescribe SSRIs as an adjunctive therapy for adult ADD.

If you are honestly concerned about ADD that has gone undiagnosed I would suggest you get an evaluation from a board certified neuropsychologist experienced in such assessments. I'm biased to UIHC, obviously, but I've made several dozen such referrals. There are others as well in eastern Iowa who are quite capable.
