nice little dual they're having.

Thompsen vs gomez*
J rent vs Lara(boo)
Austin oconner vs verk*
Drew west vs real woods
Ford-Melton vs Teske
Will lewan vs leisure

Two of these matches I don't see being competitive.

Sorry I thought people would know what I was talking about. It's all over social media. This event is being held in Ames two weeks after s32.

They announced a couple more matches tonight.
Melendez vs briscoglia
Wroblewski vs Lyon
Jessen vs Lyon

Who is They ? I haven't heard anything of this either and I consider myself pretty plugged in.

So let me get this straight, these are fantasy match ups or they have commitments? It seems ironic they have commitments from every big name out of Iowa and Illinois this far out.

Everything surrounding the event seems a bit curious. Almost as if they are trying to stick it to Conflict at Carver. Some of the matches do look outstanding, however.

Austin Gomez's dad is putting the event together. I'll be watching from the sidelines on this one.

I think it is great. Not only because it is in Ames, but another event to showcase some exciting matchups.

Sounds like a cool event but what a god awful name. That's right up there with the Minnesota football slogan from a few years back "Our House is Your House."

Or their new State slogan, which used to be "Minnesota - Land of 10,000 Lakes".

Here's the new one - "Minnesota - We're not Russia, but you can see it from here"...... (follow Minneapolis or St. Paul news, it will sink in, I promise)

I resemble that remark! ;)

On a serious note... you know where the speed limit sign near Ames drops from 70mph to 60mph? Because of the smell, I go from 70mph to 80mph.:D
I wondered where you were! This thread had to be like catnip for you

Yeah, between this stuff and the freak show in the Twin Cities, it's been a pretty entertaining summer. I've had to back off the Gopher thing just a little bit because Slim's close friend Chief, was offended.

Looks like some good matchups. Should be a fun event.

I assumed this was being put on by IAwrestle, but apparently not.

Have no problem with you going after Minne as a whole if that's your thing but to kick a guy when he is down and when you know he can't come back at you? Hardly sporting but Mitch on if it makes you feel better.

I don't quite understand all this sympathy when the problems were self inflicted? We're not talking about 12-13 year old youths in this instance. Outside of potentially some peer pressure... these guys should have enough common sense to know what they were doing was wrong.

But, whatever!

I have made a few "relaxation therapy" jokes myself and I have no doubt that the parents and/or kids agree that it was a colossal f*ck up...I don't have much sympathy for the crap they pulled. This is assuming that certain kids had anything to do with it. As they say, assumption is the mother of all f*ck ups.

Still, no need to get personal and try to draw certain parents into the fray. The dude doesn't brag about his kid like some of the parents we have seen...in fact, he rarely brings him up unless one of us asks a question. He doesn't shoot arrows at Iowa...never has.

Closest hawk fan if you ask me:)

Is this an event, or a description of what it's like being there?
Nice.

I just happen to have been teaching 2 Timothy tonight. The apostle Paul told him he had "fought the good fight". The Gk. word for fight is ἀγωνίζομαι / agōnízomai, where we get our words agonize / agony.
