I don’t necessarily agree with the coaching call either, but it was very poorly executed. If the QB puts a bit more air under it the game is over. Just throw a downfield pop fly out of bounds. That’s why Bowden was so pissed after the play.

And that team was OSU of all teams. It's technically correct although the Big Ten didn't exist in 1894.

Probably a good spot for the intentional safety. At least it would have run the clock out. Would have been a better option than they chose.
