Akrum Wadley & Sean Welsh playing in the Senior Bowl

Good for them, will be some great exposure for both. Also looking forward to see who coaches the teams and how they use Akrum.

do players elect to skip it to avoid injury when they are sure 1st rounders? hard to blame anyone for doing that and Jewell is certainly a lock at this point.
Where are you seeing Jewell as a lock for a 1st round take?

3-4th here:

Even later here:

This has him #4 ILB, which means later than Rd 1:

I love Jewell, think he should have definitely been a finalist for the Butkus, but I really think some people are over-projecting him in the draft right now. He could move up after the combine/interviews, but right now it's looking like Rd 2-4.

4th round seems at least as crazy as 1st round to me :)

I agree I think late 2nd possibly but probably 3rd or 4th round as far as accepting the Senior bowl I'm not sure how healthy JJ is he might need a little tune up after the bowl.

Maybe Josie is going to have that shoulder worked on. I'd also be curious about Niemann, what his post-bowl plans are.

Where do they project Jackson?

I'm a dipshit!

I hope he stays, but he should leave now in my opinion, King got screwed, I wouldn't take a chance.
We have no idea if King got screwed by coming back because we have no idea what he heard for feedback. Yeah, he was projected around the 3rd round his junior year (he wasn't a 1st rd guy as some say), but that's also about where he was his senior year and we all know how that turned out.

It wasn't like he shrunk, got slower, or got worse in man coverage during his senior year. His knock was always his measurable and his man coverage. The only thing that could have possibly held him back his senior year vs his junior year was playing in the Senior Bowl, where he didn't have a good showing at all. Hard to say how much that played into the drop to the fifth.

True, and the fact is, some of these guys benefit from sliding,(maybe not as much as King), till later and ending up with a better team. King seems to be making an impact with the Bolts, so if he plays well he'll do fine over his career. Jackson is taller, and longer then King, and might be a little quicker as well. He'll have a career in the league, barring injury, so he'll be fine.
