Alabama students throwing 'covid parties'

Well people will probably go to football games which is dumb but they won't be going specifically to get COVID they will be going to watch football.

Read the article. . . These people got a party together and asked friends who they knew had tested positive for COVID to come to the party.

That's not just putting yourself at big risk for some other enjoyment or entertainment value. That's essentially volunteering to get COVID for the fun of it.
I can almost guarantee this exact thing will happen this fall in Iowa City, if it hasn't already.

Meanwhile, the CDC estimated CFR for infants and toddlers is still at 5% (dropping, so my suspicion now is that MIS-C took so many by surprise, there were >1000 infant deaths from it, which are now being eliminated through awareness and treatment).

And, still, 0.25% of pregnant women are dying from it (1 in 400); just mapping the 4M a year birth rate in the US, that factors out to around 10,000 pregnancy deaths from Covid, if it is allowed to spread unchecked. That's literally what these folks are pushing toward.
Per CDC, death rates for pregnant women with covid is the same as the rate for those that are not.

Approximately 700 pregnant women die every year in the US; there’s really nothing alarming in seeing 26 deaths halfway through the year.

10,000 dead pregnant women? Purely hysterical projection even for you.

And that’s saying a lot.

Nope. 0.25% is high, when flu death rates are 10x lower.

Again, comparing deaths "overall" to those from one single cause - particularly one that never existed, is really being disingenuous.

NOPE

Running the demographics numbers off the CDC site, in the 18-29 yr old range for women, overall, the CFR is 0.06%

Pregnant women CFR is 0.25%

~4X higher

Rates for just the 30-39 yr old group are lower than the overall pregancy stat, too.

Pregnant women are at higher risk.

Oh, now the CFR is 0.285%

It was 26 deaths yesterday. Now it's 30 out of 10.5k. Just like I explained to you.

So, out of 4M pregnancies per year (approximate), that computes to 11,400 deaths.
Again, that's not alarmism. It's "math".
It appears to be Imperial College math

Bama gonna Bama. Iowa kids won’t be this dumb, but they will definitely get together for parties this fall, if they have fall semester on campus. Some tough decisions need to be made in the next month on schools and sports.

This is why we won't have college football this year. Oh, and killing your parents and grandparents to troll the libs.

The problem is Darwinism only works if the smart and best of us procreate at the same or higher levels. The 100% True Prophecy known as Idiocracy shows what happens when the idiot Magats are busy spitting out 20 rugrats to five different baby daddies in our trailer parks and the elite humans like Neal Degrasse Tyson has 2.

And the lefties that damaged or destroyed 1500 buildings in Minneapolis are the smart ones?

maybe you prefer the BLM protestors in Des Moines ? The ones that met with the city to voice their ideas to improve the situation and came up with legal weed and felons getting to vote? Clearly those are issues that all intelligent people think will help kids break the cycle of inner city poverty.
Lol.
