Alaric Jackson enjoyed his visits to both Iowa and Iowa State last weekend. Impressed with Hilton Magic...who wouldn't be. In-home visit from the Ferentz duo Tuesday night. He may cancel his Nebraska visit this weekend, which would be good news. Hilton Magic only pertains to the basketball court, not the football field!
If you want to develop into a pro lineman, come to Iowa City!

The one drawback for Iowa against Iowa State is that he could start at any one of the 5 OL positions for ISU next year since 4 or 5 starters are gone.

A fair number of rumblings that Farniok is a Husker, Jackson MSU, and Fant might only be left with Minnesota if everyone turns their noses up.

We'll take a beating in recruiting, if all 3 choose Nebraska. If Fant liked Nebraska, he would have been there already. (Iowa)
I think Farniok to Nebraska makes Jackson more of an Iowa lean. Maybe I'm just an optimist!

Minnesota site saying Fant will commit to them if visit goes well.
Farnkiok already to Nebraska as most people predicted all along.
Jackson is either Iowa or Michigan State.

Fants fate rests with Captain Kirk. If Kirk sticks by his recruiting guns and Fant visits Minnesota then Fants scholly offer may be lost in a transporter malfunction. To be honest, Fant really has nothing to gain by going Gophers except to maybe have his ego stroked and possibly getting to play sooner. Husker and Hawkeye boards are both tired of hearing about Fant, so he may be burning bridges in Iowa City and Lincoln. Sounds like Kirk and Woods made a home visit in the last hours, so I guess what came from that will determine Fants fate. I personally don't care what he does, sounds like maybe he is more interested in attention then being a Hawkeye anyway. Farniok I always thought would be a Husker. Jackson I believe will be a Hawkeye, mainly due to his childhood friendship with Cedrick Lattimore. My gut says Fant will visit Minnesota, but he will want to stay Iowa, so it's up to El Capitan. You know, I wonder if he is looking because maybe Kirk has soured on him. He has never been more then a soft commit, never looked truly 100 % committed and I am sure Kirk had been looking at other options instead of ass kissing Fant just in case.

There are 2 other TEs in this class so it wouldn't be a huge loss if Fant goes elsewhere. Especially if they are tight on scholarship numbers. But the position is pretty thin.

Blair retweeted a report that Jackson has cancelled his official to Nebraska. Good news for Iowa.

Sounds like the big man has made up his mind and a commitment decision should be coming soon...

Good news regarding him canceling trip to Nebraska. I feel this behemoth could be a great get for the Hawks. Yes he's raw but has very good feet.

Hope he becomes a Hawk!

So.....Jackson canceled his OV to Neb within hours of Farniok committing? Once Farniok committed, bye bye to Jackson is what happened.

Except that he stated before the decision was made that he didn't think he would go.

Nice try, he told Josh or Blair he was thinking of cancelling his trip to UNL. Go back and read the article. He basically said he doesn't need to see anymore, he knows where he's going.

Good effort though, buttercup.

Not to mention Lattimore's statement that there would be good news coming out of Detroit this week. So he probably had made up his mind on the visit and just wanted to go home and talk to his family first.

Or could Jackson be hoping to land at MSU with Lattimore on his coattails? Or could Jackson actually end up choosing the Clones (urghhh, perish the thought)? Oh, the drama!

I am hopeful that Alaric becomes a Hawk. If he does, it will be interesting to see where he and Farniok are in 4-5 years. I don't think Matt will end up at tackle though, should be a very good guard for the Huskers if he works hard.

Jackson on the other hand has the feet to play tackle, tremendous upside under Brian's tutelage.
