Not sure how many times this has happened but I don’t recall seeing all number ones making it
You get what you pay for.Curious what ratings will look like. Seems to me a Cinderella story does a better job of captivating the national audience (aka, beyond the fans of the remaining programs).
Personally I don’t give two shites who wins from here on out, but I sure would have been rooting for an underdog if one remained. I bet the real winners/happy parties are the casinos.
They talked about it yesterday. Happened one other time. Not sure how many times this has happened but I don’t recall seeing all number ones making it
The lack of patience (and memory/knowledge of the sport they're complaining about) with fans and casuals is truly not at all astounding.I'd hold off on crying foul just yet. It's possible the landscape is shifting so that this will happen more often. But one year is not a trend. There have been chalky tournaments before. This might just be a case of the top few teams in the country being on another level vs the rest, which is something pundits have been saying for some time, not just the last couple weeks.
All four No. 1 seeds have advanced to the men's Final Four for the first time since 2008 and only the second time in history. Not sure how many times this has happened but I don’t recall seeing all number ones making it
If both USC and Texas win on the women's side, then it would be (obviously) the first time in history that all EIGHT 1 seeds made the final four simultaneously. And 3 if not 4 womens #1 seeds will advance
My bracket percentage is 94.8%! Sounds great! Not sure how many times this has happened but I don’t recall seeing all number ones making it
Everyone that went straight chalk is dominating their office poolsMy bracket percentage is 94.8%! Sounds great!
My ranking is 1,324,633 place. Does not sound so good.![]()
CBB is going the way of Football. Just create a higher division already
Yeah, I have to agree to wait a couple more years to determine if the big money teams are in the final four repeatedly and no underdogs. If so, the viewing audiences will trend downwards as well IMO. Not to mention it will be the final blow to competitive collegiate BBall IMO. I know my interest will be pretty much, "who cares" at that point. Sad!I'd hold off on crying foul just yet. Yeah my biggest losses on the ESPN bracket were a few of the 5/12 games.Everyone that went straight chalk is dominating their office pools
Well it wasn’t like it was pretty simple. As @StormHawk42 said these 4 teams are elite over almost the last 30 years. You don’t like bball if you don’t like this Final 4.Ya can't say the committee was completely off base this year when it came to top seeds.
Houston. Cmon man.CBB is going the way of Football. Just create a higher division already
If you watched bball all year it was clear these 4 teams were elite. All the analytics tell you that.Everyone that went straight chalk is dominating their office pools
And to think it was a former Iowa player who almost single-handedly destroyed college basketball for the average fan.CBB is going the way of Football. Just create a higher division already
This Final Four is fine. Should be a few great games. It's the rest of the tournament that was a snoozer, IMO.Well it wasn’t like it was pretty simple. As @StormHawk42 said these 4 teams are elite over almost the last 30 years. You don’t like bball if you don’t like this Final 4.
This year's Cinderellas were 10-seed Arkansas and 6-seed BYU.If both USC and Texas win on the women's side, then it would be (obviously) the first time in history that all EIGHT 1 seeds made the final four simultaneously.
It's approaching the point where "Cinderella" will have to be redefined to mean any team worse than a 3 or 4 seed.

Crazy though how low scoring most of those games have been. It seems no ones getting out of the 60's if they even get there. If both USC and Texas win on the women's side, then it would be (obviously) the first time in history that all EIGHT 1 seeds made the final four simultaneously.

So honestly look at Auburn’s roster. They got Broom from Morehead St. Baker-Mazara from NW Florida St, which is a nowhere school. At the time they probably didn’t pay big money for either player. And look at Houston’s roster. Lots of blue collar guys. We’ve got 2 guys that are the top 10 of the portal. And we went 7-13 in the league. Sure money is important but Sampson is a helluva demanding coach. You play hard for him or you don’t play. Pearl gets guys to buy in. Our culture was broke a bit. Time for a change. You need to be in the game for NIL but it’s not everything. It's too bad we don't know the payrolls of the Sweet 16 teams. As we know, Iowa's was "just" $1,500,000.
Iowa has a Sweet 16 drought.
The B1G has quite a drought going, too.
Great point. What stands out to me is:So honestly look at Auburn’s roster. They got Broom from Morehead St. Baker-Mazara from NW Florida St, which is a nowhere school.
