I thought there was a thread for this, but I can't find it.

Kamara was arrested at the stadium after the pro bowl.

"Video surveillance shows New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara punching a man approximately eight times before Kamara's associates proceeded to stomp on him several more times on the ground in a Las Vegas casino Saturday morning, according to the police report from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

Kamara was later taken into custody inside Las Vegas' Allegiant Stadium on Sunday evening after he played in the Pro Bowl. He was interviewed by police and then arrested and charged with battery resulting in substantial bodily harm and booked at the Clark County Detention Center. Kamara was released after posting bail later Sunday night."

"The man said he started a conversation with one member of a group of people while waiting for an elevator as he was leaving the Cromwell Casino at Drais After Dark Club on South Las Vegas Boulevard at approximately 6:30 a.m. local time."

I'm not familiar with that club or casino.

Should have asked for his lawyer
It was really a terrible move for Kamara to agree to speak to the officers and give any version of what happened. You've GOT to know that everything inside any casino/hotel/club in LV is being recorded. It sounds like it was pretty clear that his story didn't match what was on the video.

Between the Raiders drunk driving arrests and now Kamara getting arrested, maybe there's a down side to having an NFL team and the pro bowl in Vegas?

You think "if you get in trouble, don't speak to anyone" would be one of the first messages given by his agent, his lawyer, and team management. "Greene was running away" - what - was this a citizen's arrest?

I believe the Cromwell is the property that was, for years, Barbary Coast. It is across the strip from Caesar's Palace, kinda next to Harrahs.
It changed hands a few years ago & was remodeled/renovated into a boutique hotel & casino.

Plus isn't that why you have an entourage. To let them do the ass kicking
Yeah - you'd think the point of paying your friends to hang around you is to have them take care of stuff like this.

I'd like to think if it were me I would encourage my friends to kick his ass, while also doing an exaggerated "whoa, whoa guys - everyone stop and get back!" motion for the cameras.

Ahh, okay - thanks for that! I remember Barbary Coast. I looked it up briefly and saw a description that said it was a small "boutique" place (188 rooms compared to the surrounding monster hotels), so that makes sense.

It is where I learned how to properly play craps many years ago. Spent an afternoon with my wife and a few of her friends…place was empty, the table guys took time with us to explain what bets to make, what were a waste. Played for four or five hours, the worst of the six lost $20. I was up about $100, playing low stakes. Drank a ridiculous amount of cheap bourbon & tipped them well on our way out.

Always liked it as Barbary, for years they kept lower minimums & higher X odds bets than the other places on the strip.

I like that a lot.

I don't remember the casino, but I went to LV with my parents for my 21st birthday and we had prime rib at the restaurant there.

They even had draft beer if I’m remembering correctly. O’Sheas and the coast were a good place to play a cheap game and waste a ton of time without blowing a ton at the tables.

Cromwell used to be Barbary Coast then it was Bill's Gamblin' Hall & Saloon. The Cromwell is a bit more upscale. I loved how cheap Bill's was.

Barbary Coast was one of the few casinos left on the strip that had the old Vegas feel. You could always find $5 craps and blackjack, friendly dealers and free drinks flowing. Vegas used to be fun. Now it’s just expensive.

It’s still fun, but more off strip and around Fremont. You gamble on the strip anymore, you better bring lots of cash.

the other trick I’m seeing casinos everywhere do is for the $5 tables and reducing the blackjack payout to 6-5.

If they’d arrested him on the sidelines during the game at least that would have been compelling. The Pro Bowl has been terrible for years.

Unfortunately most casinos on the strip are 6-5 now on any table not in the high stakes rooms. You will find a few $50 tables with 3-2 still; but not many. You’d have to be very lucky to find a $25 table with 3-2. I understand the average gambler likely won’t see much of a difference; but it ups the casinos expected take by 400%. It’s actually quite bullshit. I go out a couple times a year for a conference and there’s always 3 or 4 of us that play together and one of the guys often ends up on the high stakes rooms because it pisses him off that much. To be fair though, he is often betting no less than a $100 a hand; but will sit down with us poors on a $25 or $50 table for some fun.

Did it used to be O’Shea’s as well?

No. Cromwell/Barbary is in between Bally’s and Flamingo. O’Shea’s was a little further north - it is part of what is now the Linq (north of Harrahs)

"Greene states he was leaving the club for the night..."

If it's 6:30am, can you still really say you're leaving "for the night"?

There's a point at which you need to change your characterization of the relative time of day.

Maybe he works 2nd or 3rd shift? I've been drinking a bloody mary at a bar at 7AM with people just starting their "evening". I've been an 8-5'er for way too long now to ever go back to any other hours.

You're right though, 6:30AM is a strange time to be "calling it a night"

It's Vegas, no one has a sense of the time.
