...in thinking that, all things considered, this draft is nothing special?
I think his hamstring was most definitely not 100%.Somewhat shocked how some of Iowa’s players did in the combine … especially in the speed department where Huggins didn’t fare too well but speed and football smarts are way different as someone will get a steal on him
Have to agree on that great pointI think his hamstring was most definitely not 100%.
He shouldn't have run at least the 40.
I hope the evaluators note this and disregard the time.
ThisHe can run again at Iowa’s pro day as all of them can to improve their scores.
Actually the opposite for me.Somewhat shocked how some of Iowa’s players did in the combine … especially in the speed department where Huggins didn’t fare too well but speed and football smarts are way different as someone will get a steal on him
If I’m a GM or coach, I put more stock into game film as my primary source and consider the combine as a secondary source of info such as interviews and physiological testing.Actually the opposite for me.
I thought it was pretty clear that both Castro and Higgins would not do well in the speed department. There wasn't anything about either of their onfield games that indicated they had even average speed at their respective positions. They both excelled at knowing their positions, assignments, the overall defensive strategy and alignment and reading the opposing O. And having good instincts.
I think that makes more sense as well.If I’m a GM or coach, I put more stock into game film as my primary source and consider the combine as a secondary source of info such as interviews and physiological testing.
I hear you. Weakest draft I can recall
