Dan McCarney sure did a good job of having his Iowa State teams motivated and emotionally charged up to play Iowa. I am sure that he doesn't want to come back to Iowa City to get embarrassed and might be focusing extra hard on this game.
The other issue is that this is a perfect trap game between a close night game against Pitt and maybe our toughest game of the season next week at Wisconsin.
I know that North Texas isn't very good but I am not sure that we are just going to blow them out like a lot of people seem to think. Iowa also has a history of playing down to their opponent's level.
With all that said, I would love to beat them by 4 or more touchdowns.
