Once the Amalgamated College Football Players Association if formed, and their brothers and sisters in the AFL/CIO & Teamsters join them in solidarity, will it really be necessary for the players to go on strike to obtain basic pay packages that include:
a. Tuition
b. Room & Board
c. Respectable Pay Scale
d. Performance Bonuses
e. Adequate Medical Compensation
I think not. However, given the disruption caused by COVID, we know that live without college football can get ugly. Therefore, now is the time for Conference & Institutional leaders to establish minimum benefits for All Players.
