Seth Wallace sent out a tweet tonight with news from the Windy City and that news was LB Amani Jones has flipped his verbal commitment from Illinois to Iowa.
Just spoke with Amani and he said that he made his first visit to Iowa on Friday and was there for the first part of the Hawkeye tailgate. Had to head home for something last night, but he said the Iowa coaches "wowed" him on the visit. He said the new facility really impressed him as did the coaches. His lead recruiter was Brian Ferentz and he said they developed a really strong relationship. He said he has also developed a bond with Iowa LB coach Jim Reid.
I asked him if this is it for his recruitment and he said it is. He said he has been thinking about it for a while and on the drive home last night and all day today he was thinking about it and it felt right. He is very happy with his decision.
