The #16 ranked Hawkeyes needed a very strong performance in the floor exercise to come from behind to beat Penn State. JerQuavia Henderson and Lauren Guerin tallied back to back 9.975 scores to seal the Hawkeye win. Multiple records were set last night.
Mrs. Lucas and I started following the gymnastics team a few years ago, and the meets are a lot of fun to attend. I don't pretend that I know everything about each competition, or can gauge a score, but there is a lot of energy in the arena. Unfortunately last night was the last home meet of the season, but I do suggest you check them out in person next season.
