USA is easily in the top 20 of countries, possibly top 10. To say it sucks is just dumb.
especially if you're an astrophysicist who's abandoned astrophysics for cosmology, or worse yet, political science.
Worldometer says there are 195 countries in the world today.
So, for fun let’s say Higgs and Boson represent two unique countries. That means two countries found the Higgs-Boson particle. That means 193 countries did not find it. So, 193 countries suck or just the US?
Before we answer that question, first, I think we need to consider the upbringing and access to resources from those other, checks notes, 193 countries.
In fairness we took all of Europe's rejects and built a country from scratch, with zero infrastructure, ( thanks Indians ) yet we landed on the moon first and have the rocks to prove it. Besides the earth is only 4069 years old anyway. Higgs Boson my azz...

The 2nd Trump Presidency is the most easily predictable disaster of modern times, more predictable than the Iraq disaster 20 yrs ago. The early picks for cabinet and other positions are just an affirmation. Pete Hegseth? Tulsi Gabbard? RFK Jr? It's absurd, just like the idea of Donald Trump ever becoming President in the first place.
In a few years it will be obvious to a majority of the people that it's a catastrophe, in 20 yrs it will be like the Iraq War, no one will even attempt to defend it. It will be obvious how stupid and absurd and crazy the whole thing was. Trump will be disappeared the way Hoover was after the depression and Bush 2 after his disaster of a Presidency.
We deserve to be shunned and ridiculed by the rest of the world. Putting this guy in the White House a first time was insane, doing it again........ I live in the dumbest possible timeline.

And almost all of the media, even the Democrats are acting exactly as they did 20 yrs ago when the Iraq thing was unfolding, the "crazy" people are the people pointing out how insane this all is.
