Predicament.ect is now advertising AWL 1 to be held in Cedar Rapids.. August 18 ...poster has Dake.. Taylor and Snyder...but no listing as to who actually will be there ect.
Been to similar events in past and really enjoyed it.
Anyone know anything else.

They can’t say who will be participating or how many actual matches there will be yet but they are trying to sell tickets?

I spoke with Boyd at the World Cup for awhile. He said he was working on this wrestling league for some time now. Was hoping to get an event schedule sometime this year in CR.

I think if they were to add elements of Agon it would increase the draw.

I just saw this article pop up on Twitter. The initial event in Cedar Rapids has been bumped back to November 30th. The article does list the wrestlers that they are planning to participate.

It says wrestlers that are slotted for the event but doesn’t say they will actually be wrestling and if they are it doesn’t say against who. Also still doesn’t say how many matches will be held.

Seems like a great idea on paper, but logistics might be the biggest hindrance. Would love to see it happen.

Also, how is Gilman not a lock or even mentioned in the article? I would think that if you were gonna do regional sites, you would want to posterize and publicize the region’s top US team members.

News today that Cory Clark, Brandon Sorenson, and Sammy Brooks will be in the draft for this event. Draft is November 3rd, event is November 30th.

HWC wants to be very cautious with with who is announced as competing....1st priority...World's/Budapest.

After that when the coaches see how he feels physically and mentally..a decision can be made.
