I’ve never seen such a stock market scam in all my years.

I had suggested insider trading a shenanigans. Everyone played into the game. A ton of stocks go way down, and boom, everyone buys again. Stocks go up and people are jumping up and down. Next day, another huge drop.

If I had been a trader on the floor, I would have needed two phones telling people what to do.

If you had anything on the inside, you really got to play this one.

I laughed in one sense over the Japanese dumping bonds.

I understand the Japanese way of doing business, but I’ve never done any business with them. I simply understand the culture.

The Japanese are very different culturally than the Chinese. It’s quiet in Japan. It’s not quiet in China. Just different.

To be a diplomat requires that one understand other cultures. If you can’t do it, you hire someone who can.
