I would disagree. I don't think we should have to count on lawyers having to do all the digging. They have uncovered the issue. The state should investigate rather than continue to say there is nothing to see here. Again you think there should be an investigation on this topic but nothing in Iowa seems hypocritical. You may not agree but admit I can have an opinion.
Last time I checked a court case is not an investigation. Currently there is no one investigating in Iowa if an illegal search occurred, who gave that legal advice, or if some employees or higher up individuals need to be relieved of their jobs. This court case could go on for years. Don't you think it would be prudent to investigate to make sure there isn't something going extremely bad in Iowa's government, or would want DCI to continue to rely on bad legal advice and continue to illegally search individuals without a warrant? Sounds like a trainwreck waiting to happen. But you want to treat Iowa different I wonder why.
No really you think an investigation isn’t warranted? How long are we since the investigation into the players, how long until the court handles this issue? You are willing to let DCI and Iowa legal advice go unchecked until the courts handle it? That could be over 2 years by the time it is seetled in the courts, then lawsuits. How the hell are you reforming the division and or looking at the direction of potentially Bird or someone else under her who gave faulty legal advice? If it was a democrat you would be calling for an investigation.
