I just don't see it for Michigan.
Much as I hate to say it. I will probably see Iowa as a five seed and each big team has enough warts I’m guessing the B1G NCAA results aren’t much better than last year. I don’t see an elite eight team in the bunch.
We had a 4 in our grasp if Iowa would of won at Illinois. I think Iowa is the top 1 or 2 on the 5 line currently. Win tomorrow could sneak into the 4. Win tomorrow and Sunday a solid 4.
I sort of agree with you. Purdue should be so much better than they are. Outside of them, I think Iowa has the most talent. If either of us get hot, we could do some damage.
Wisconsin always has a chance with their style.

Would love to move up to a 4 seed and bump the Illini to a 5 seed, after Underwood‘s somewhat dismissive comment regarding the tournament following their loss.

We had a 3 if we won at Champaign and win BTT.

I hope, and expect, that the rested Illinois will get bounced early again this year. It'll be interesting to hear what the mafia used car salesman has to say then. Probably we were rusty. Too much rest . . . LOL

While this partially true, he receives fat paychecks from the BTN so pumping B10 teams is his job.
Another poster previously pointed out that he is a bandwagon analyst, which is spot on. He surfs the rising wave. He is kind of a clown, more entertainment than not.
Last year is still pretty fresh in the memory bank. I thought there was a lot more potential from the B1G last year than this. Only teams in the B1G i see possibly making it to the 2nd weekend is Iowa and Purdue. And like some others have said, Purdue has a guard problem.
Last year's B1G fiasco with very high seeding was eye opener. Big man basketball is a dinosaur.
I think Iowa and Purdue are most capable of Elite 8 run. Purdue looked kind of Meh vs Penn State, not the #1 team they were ranked earlier in season. The fact they are poor at defense makes me think they are Sweet16 and done.
I haven't watched a lot of b-ball this year, but the athleticism of some of the SEC teams is scary. Pac12 ---I wouldn't underestimate them again. Big12 is probably legit this year, at least Baylor/Kansas are always tough.
With Perkins emerging as a budding star, and CMAC hitting 3pt shots, and Sandfort the #10 guy in rotation capable of elite shooting, I think Iowa can make an Elite8 run. This is Fran's best team and best built for NCAA run.
Iowa Needs some good luck to make the run. Keegan foul trouble, Keegan turned ankle, and the run is over.
Perkins and Kris have completely lifted this team’s ceiling. Not sure they achieve it but it’s way higher.
Agree on Sandfort too. He’s likely starting by now if not for the Murray bros. He’s gonna be a great player.
