Announcers and unis

Any chance we wear the unis we had for the Minnesota game? Those were incredible.

Wouldn't be surprised if Herbie does a semi then jets out to Pasadena.

That's a heck of a turnaround. Either finish up at 8 p.m in Miami or Midnight in Dallas. Fly overnight to Cali, do a game hours later then fly to national championship (not to mention Sports center stuff). Seems easier just to have Spielman and McDonagh do it (they've done the Sugar bowl the last couple of years)

True, but hasn't Herbie done a full morning of Gameday, then flown to another city to color the evening game?

Maybe I'm just wishful thinking. I'm not a Herbie hater like others around here. CFB games feel bigger with him on the mic.

Yeah, he does that all the time. However, it was not to prep to two different games. That might be what the hang up is. I agree with a poster above, just bring back Keith Jackson.

That's same day though.

I get why people want Herbie. But, it's not gonna happen he is gonna call one of the playoff game.

(It's like the SEC crew of Brent and Palmer will call the Sugar bowl, is my early guess) So expect Spielman, Dave Pasch and Griese or Nessler and Blackledge.

Wiki says Kirk, Chris, with Tom Ronaldi and Heather Cox on the side - same team as last year.

He said Cox on the side.

Personally, I'm really hoping for Chris Spielman. Herbie's alright, but I find Spielman more insightful and you can tell he really likes the kind of football Iowa, Wisky, Sparty, etc play.

McDonough/Spielman/McShay

This.

Love McDonough and Spielman. They're always fair, honest, insightful, and show enthusiasm in the appropriate degrees. I get chills every time I watch the 2010 Sash-to-Hyde interception return against Sparty as McDonough describes it, and when Hyde returns an INT for the game-winner in the 2010 Insight Bowl. Great stuff. I hope we get them for the Rose and the Hawkeyes provide plenty of exciting plays for them to describe.

And Spielman loves the Hawkeye lines and the smash-mouth football.

Please not Speilman, even if he likes Iowa. Don't like Holly rowe either, she is not very insightful with her remarks.

Herbie doesn't need prep, he can just go with the same Iowa and Stanford narratives he's had all year.

I hope not Griese.
