Patrick lost me last year when he tried to make the case that there weren't ANY teams in the country better than the SEC West and that the SEC should have all 4 spots in the playoffs. Fortunately Cunningham tried to explain that he was cracked. Haven't listened to him this year, so maybe he's come back to Earth since then.

Also Ed Cunningham, you can bet at one point both teams will be "too conservative". He says it every game regardless of who is playing. If you punt you are just being too conservative.

Always think of the Cap One Bowl when I see Ed's name. He was very complimentary of Iowa, repeating how LSU wasn't ready for the physicality of Iowa. Probably got old to an LSU fan, but I didn't mind.

He was fantastic on that broadcast. I have a DVD of the broadcast and I must say its his best work.
