Nothing wrong with a little emotion, he could be pumping up the home crowd (wearing white so assume they are home). If he was talking smack that would be different, but a little emotion is not a bad thing
If you don't like smack talk, then there are other prominent Hawks on past and present teams you don't like as well. Personally, I'm not opposed to smack talk as long as guys take the responsibility to back it up. It's a way some players motivate themselves. BTW, I think Cook is going to be a key Hawk from day 1 at Iowa.
We need players who play with fire and emotion. It seems like recently, Iowa players have been way too relaxed. White was an effort guy who played with a lot of emotion, Woodbury does it too, and when Jarrod Uthoff went off against Iowa State, he was playing like he was pissed off. Guys like Brandon Hutton and Tyler Cook will hopefully be great for the team and help feed other players with their energy.
