Another Inquiry Doesn’t Back Up Trump’s Charges. So, on to the Next.

It. Doesn’t. Matter. Trump supporters don’t care about the truth. It doesn’t matter. They still believe the lie. We live in a post-fact world. People are literally too delusional and unwilling to accept a truth that they don’t like that the results of an investigation matter less than Fox’s reporting on the investigation.

How much money are we wasting investing his conspiracy theories?

Good question. Cons are still bitching about the Mueller investigation’s cost which is kind of funny if you think about it. Manafort paid for the Mueller investigation and Ukrainian oligarchs paid for Manafort. And now Cons are blowing millions chasing down Ukrainian conspiracy theories.

Exactly why Trump only really cared about the announcement of an investigation into Biden. He didn't care about an actual investigation. Trump just wanted to hammer Biden over and over again with an investigation knowing it would never matter that they wouldn't find anything on Biden.

Weird football for you guys to spike. The GOP has been saying for two years that the FBI used the unverified Dossier to obtain the FISA warrants. Your side said no it wasn’t. The IG report clearly says it was the MAIN evidence used. Then to make matters worse, when it was discovered by the FBI that the source Steele used was bogus, the FBI ignored that, didn’t update the FISA applications, and proceeded to sign off that the info was true and verified.

I'll take that. Now...was it a "witch hunt" launched due to FBI bias or did it follow - however imperfectly - well established FBI guidelines? In other words, is POTUS bullshitting you?

The FBI did not use the Steele dossier to open Russia probe
A key accusation among Trump’s allies has been that the FBI predicated its investigation of Trump campaign officials Carter Page, Paul Manafort, George Papadopoulos and Michael Flynn on information the bureau received from former British spy Christopher Steele.

But Horowitz found that the Crossfire Hurricane team — the code name agents gave to the Russia inquiry — did not receive Steele’s election reporting materials until after the investigation had already been opened using information about Papadopoulos the team received from an allied nation.

I posted page 126 of the report in the other thread. Read it....it is all spelled out in it. Without the Steele Dossier, there are no FISA warrants

They used the Steele Dossier exclusively to get the FISA warrants.

Can you cite the part of the report that says that?

I ask because my impression from various news sources is just the opposite. Namely that if the Steele dossier had not been part of the submission, the FBI would still have gotten the warrant to surveil Carter Page.

This is a fact thing. I'd like to know what the report really said on that, not just what our opposing echo chambers are saying.

JFC, @ihhawk. Get off Breitbart or whatever Conservative spin machine you are getting your news from. You keep getting exposed as a raging moron with the worst case of confirmation bias we've ever seen.

Go to chapter 5...

and this is what Trumpsters just don't get or they just don't care....their Radical Right wing bias has blinded them.

It did when they nominated Don daCon over true Americans like John Kasich.
It cost them in 2018 & it will in 2020.
Ya he has the MAGA hat gang … isn't going to be enough this time around.

This is why he went after Joe Biden (because he thought Biden was the threat the day he announced his candidacy)….had nothing to do with the economy or foreign policy. Dumpy is incapable of running on issues other than to promise some stupid wall that Mexico was going to pay for.

The lock him up isn't going to work this time around & he knows it.

And they completely believe WE are the ones who believe the lie and they are enlightened. Libs are the dumbest of the dumb and going to destroy the country. They are all in on this thinking.

Using the Benghazi investigations/hearings as your guide I would say approx 10-15.
I think you are right. This is their Playbook 101, to take an issue that keeps their base motivated until the next election and keep hammering it over and over.

They will create new issues like this as necessary.

Former senator Claire McCaskill was on MSNBC yesterday and she said something rather interesting about Durham's statement, and his actions. She said they clearly aren't going to prosecute anyone. No decent prosecutors puts out a statement before the investigation is done.
