Another ISU player jumps ship.

I would hardly consider this season a disaster.

The bigger disaster is the Baylor loss basically due to a bad special teams.

Wait.

You first say this season hasn't been a disaster.

Then you talk about the disastrous performance vs Iowa.

Then you talk about the biggest disaster being the Baylor game.

So, it's pretty clear that you have concluded that the season has been a disaster; you clearly did not expect 2 losses at this point. And the 2 losses have squashed any thoughts of a dream season that includes the CFP.

The coach hasn’t fixed the September or special teams issues. He needs to change something to raise the bar.

I never thought ISU would make the CFP. Making the Big 12 title game has always been the goal, and that was jeopardized by losing to Baylor in a big way. We won't know if the season was a disaster until it's over. Those two games were quite bad.

Special teams looked very good last week. I think that's fixed.

Don't blame anybody that left, that game was over.

The bigger disaster is the Baylor loss basically due to a bad special teams. But you keep doing you.
I understand the disappointment of losing a conference game to Baylor, but this particular season, with so much supposedly going for you and coming off a 4 game losing streak, no game was more soul crushing than being stepped on by the Hawks. Hell, your coach even threw in the towel on this one. Sad.

I'm really confused by responses like this. Is there only one way that people have to react to games?

68.8% of ISU fans responding to this poll said Baylor was worse.

Good programs/good coaches don't have the same reoccurring problems every season.

ISU's early problems cannot be blamed on inexperienced players in 2021.

Campball isn't the genius Clone fans seem to think he is. But he gets a pass because of ISU's pathetic history.

Getting back to Bball, I expect one of your new coach’s goals (and one that is attainable) is to bring back your home court advantage. Is Hilton magic gone or just in need of resuscitation? Low expectations & a reboot should provide excitement for the faithful.

I'm honestly a little concerned about that. Hard to describe the damage done over the last few years. I think attendance will be way down this season if I'm being honest. Every game last year was like watching the end of Old Yeller. You just want to put the thing out of it's misery.

For a number of reasons, I think Hilton will be ok, but it can turn on a dime.
People complain on here about us “blue hairs” at Iowa home games, but by gosh we got you all thru Pierre Pierce & then the Lick years in an extremely dead Carver when you all wouldn’t show.

and we thank you for that :)

Were there clowns crying as they left the stadium? Seriously doubt it and I definitely don't believe the poll. It's just another bunch of sour grapes given the knowledge that a very average Iowa team stomped on what many were expecting to be their best team EVER! Get thee behind me little brother!

Last season the rumors going around before ge had to shut it down was he was the teams best offensive player. This season we heard he was streaky but being one of the teams best offensive players again. The problem was he was also the worst defense player on the court. Otz is really pushing defensive effort and intensity. Kunc plays defense, can stretch the floor from the 4 spot, and rebounds. Blake only wanted to do 1 of those things. That's why Kunc passed him up. Blake was going to be in the rotation somewhere between 7-9. He didn't like that, and was unhappy for other reasons as well. So he quit. I wish he wouldn't have. We could definitely still use him this season.
After last years comment that clones had a better 2-12 lineup than Iowa is all I need to know about your sources of info. Not only was that one of the dumbest posts I've ever seen on a rivals page, Iowa won by 28 points against the clones and the clones ended the season on a historic run with 2 total wins (0-19 in big12 play). Personally that should revoke you from ever commenting on rosters talent or who has a better 2-12 lineup.

Right, this guy is a joke. He comes on here and talks like he's some insider on every Bball player, then is wrong 99% of the time. He blasted us after we lost Foster. Talked up Hinson many times. Now, neither would be anywhere near the starting lineup with the great Kunc coming in averaging 6 points, 4 rebounds from Wash St.

I don't think you need to be an insider to know that Kunc passed Hinson, the statement on him leaving basically says it. The point appears to be more that he probably wasn't that good to begin with and people overhyped him. It happens.

I go off of what is actually reported by the staff on CF and 247. Also what I hear from a friend who gets some info from the program. I don't go off of what I read on message boards.
I would never believe anything on the wacky CycloneFanatic site.
