Russell Yeast he is a 4 star athlete who plans a return to Iowa in July. He has visited Iowa City several times.
Very talented young man, could play several positions.

Well I wouldn't say Rivals is off their rocker for not having him as a 4 star. Just a difference of opinion. 247 has him as a three star as well. Scout is the outlier.

He is absolutely a 4* kid. I have no idea why he's not. Unfortunately kids that are projected as being able to play either side of the ball at the next level seem to be downgraded. Probably not intentionally, but it just happens. Dude can ball.

I've seen plenty of tape an in person.

Overall Rivals does well but they do make mistakes. Sometimes I prefer a 3 star kid.

wow just saw the Billings thing. Strange. that is pretty fast to get homesick. Wonder why the parents didn't talk him into sticking it out if that was true. didn't have many options out of high school and he would have had a shot to see the field early in his career. Makes this class of DBs very important.

I think I read somewhere that Russell is a Kentucky commit. I guess Mike Stoops will not be happy with us flipping him to Iowa but that is the way recruiting goes in this day and age.

I don't think he would have seen the field early, even with Mabin and King leaving after this season. Ojemudia and Jackson look like the future starters at this point and I think we could see a couple current WR switch over as that position is starting to look thick with the addition of Boyle and the 2017 class. Coulda been homesick, maybe the competition looked too tough, he could feel it wasn't his type of campus or football culture, who knows?

Goes to show there is more to life than football.Wish him well.

That was my point really that all that is left is Jackson and Ojemudia after this year at corner. One injury and a young guys is starting. They also need a guy to step in in nickel packages and I am sure there would have been special teams.
No way that a WR switches over because that position is almost as thin which is why Boyle is getting a shot. But either way sounds like maybe he doesn't even want to play football anymore.

Man I hope we get him. You know how tough he is if you've ever battled Yeast.

Fair enough -- but the WR position in the future looks like it will be filled pretty well. For example, where do Rugamba and Ogwa fit into WR/DB picture right now?
