I can't remember whose twitter feed it was but last night was reporting another vote would take place this Friday (tomorrow).

If there’s actually another vote, I’d find it hard to believe this will be another session to shut Big 10 football down again. If they’re voting, they have enough agreement to start this thing up again.

No, it was not that dude. It was a legit sports reporter.
Probably should've put the whole thread in there. He does actually site a legit reporter, and then says his "sources" have confirmed. I just follow him because he tweets a ton about it, and sometimes links tweets from some actual reports. I realize I have to take it all with a grain of salt.

Huge round of applause to the 50 or so parents who came together to protest at the BIG headquarters - most of which seemed to be from OSU and Iowa. While that obviously wasn't the deciding factor, it garnered national attention and I think we all could agree that it played a small part in the decision to reconsider.

Truly a great example of how a "peaceful" protest can result in change.

If this happens (vote to restart), it may be time to start an entire thread of Miguel Herrera gifs....stay tuned...:)

It just seems the Nebraska players lawsuit seems to be pushing this and all the redacted files. What is the big secret for crying out loud?

I thinkOct.10 start date.

And hopefully Maryland finds it way back off our schedule. I know a bunch of their players opted out so it would be more of a gimmee game, but if they go to 8 games, hoping that is one that gets dropped. We know all the West teams would stay on.

I'm hearing that MSU & Minnesota are two of the "no" teams. I'd like to say that records has a guaranteed yes but I'm not positive at this point

The two Michigan schools have doctors as their Presidents. Doctors are typically ultra risk averse. But if they have kids on campus then no reason football without fans should not go on.

The speculation is, that even though the B1G came out and said there was an 11-3 vote, several still believe there was no actual formal vote and want to see more documentation about it.

If 4 teams elect not to participate, can you imagine how many times game announcers and sports commentators will make some form of observation that "For the first time in 30 years when Penn State joined the conference as the 11th school, the Big 10 is actually... the Big 10."

I'm assuming you mean Rutgers and not records. But I thought Rutgers would be a solid no. Why do you think they are a yes? Is the backlash pretty high there?

Damn voice text...corrected

I think Schiano would vote no.....waiting to the spring is only in his benefit. I think the boosters would give a lot of backlash...... remember, it's the NJ fans/boosters that withheld donations, took Rutgers out of their wills, called & wrote letters to the Gov and the university President when the AD decided he wasn't hiring Schiano.... we won.

Meanwhile in Illinois on campus in Urbana.................

‘Irresponsible and dangerous’ behavior at UIUC could lead to end of in-person semester after COVID-19 cases spike, officials warn

The irresponsible and dangerous actions of a small number of our students has created a very real possibility of ending an in-person semester for all of us here,” said UIUC Chancellor Robert Jones. “There are poor choices that led to a very concerning and rapid increase in the number of new undergraduate COVID-19 positive cases.”

So......opt out of season, for me, that means they are also opting out of their share of TV, et al revenues genterated by the playing schools.

If they cannot abstain from voting and we have to buy their Yes vote to get over the hurdle we may have to. Then they can opt out and not play until fall 2021.

Lol that had zero to do with anything. It's only about $. Nothing more, nothing less.

If a team wants to play let them play. If a team doesn’t want to play, don’t make them but also don’t share the profits with them. Treat this like a business, you don’t work, you don’t get paid. Don’t screw over the ones who want to work/play.

I don't know, the conference is kind of socialist. All have shared equally. Do you change that now? You may be buying a yes vote.
