Big Ten with FOUR teams in final top 12. SEC with two.
Top 12, you serious?? A glance at top 25. B1G 6, SEC 5, one of which NC! Pretty even in my book.Big Ten with FOUR teams in final top 12. SEC with two.
SEC bowls were fairly respectable. Wins against Penn St., NW , Texas Tech, Okie St. and of course MSU, a huge arse beating.Yeah I think OSU could have taken down Bama as well. The SEC has a pretty cupcake bowl schedule. They dont play the PAC, play their bowls in their backyard and play a lot of weaker teams.
That's pretty weak bowl wins other than MSU & NW.SEC bowls were fairly respectable. Wins against Penn St., NW , Texas Tech, Okie St. and of course MSU, a huge arse beating.
You say weak I say fairly respectable, I'll buy that. So MSU and NW are the hardest bowls they had? Not very, judging by the out comes. That's pretty weak bowl wins other than MSU & NW.
I'm still not buying that Iowa and MSU were the best 2 teams in the big ten, but I'd agree THIS bowl season the sec did earn the hype. The SEC is the best conference right now, and it's been that way for the better part of this millennium, it sucks that they've been so dominant, but it's the reality. No way to sugar coat the fact that the BIGs top two teams got absolutely embarrassed in their bowl games. Besides Ohio State, nobody in the BIG could have hung with Alabama. Bottom line, the SEC has a lot of advantages over the BIG for recruiting, geography being a major one.
Unless you are Alabama, then you are allowed to lose a game and still be in the Championship Playoffs.I think OSU could have taken down Bama again but you have to handle your business.
Or if you're from the whine ass big 12. Texas couldn't even make it to a bowl game.Unless you are Alabama, then you are allowed to lose a game and still be in the Championship Playoffs.
And the best team doesn't always win the Super Bowl, but Iowa and MSU won the games they needed to finish 1 and 2. They represented the BIG and fell flat on their face, giving the BIG a pretty big black eye.I'm still not buying that Iowa and MSU were the best 2 teams in the big ten, but I'd agree THIS bowl season the sec did earn the hype.

never said 1 and 2 always win...that why I said I don't think ia/msu were 1/2.And the best team doesn't always win the Super Bowl, but Iowa and MSU won the games they needed to finish 1 and 2. They represented the BIG and fell flat on their face, giving the BIG a pretty big black eye.
I hate the SEC as much as the next guy, but there is no denying they have the most talent in their conference and it isn't even close. Fortunately, because a lot of these teams are constantly losing guys to the draft they usually play a few young, inexperienced guys at key positions. Also most of the coaches in the SEC are great recruiters but not very good coaches.
You are correct but you can't tell me there isn't SEC inflation.Top 12, you serious?? A glance at top 25. B1G 6, SEC 5, one of which NC! Pretty even in my book.
Not at all if you don't listen to the clowns at ESPN.how many times during the next year will we have to endure "the SEC is back" rhetoric
Florida's last 6 games:5. Tell me how Florida loses three games in a row and still remains top 25? Only quality wins are Tennessee (which is a decent but mediocre team) and Ole Miss.
