What I take from it is people like actors who are constantly heaped with praise and attention have an incredibly high opinion of their own self worth.

If we're talking about the intelligence of the the top shelf people in either profession, I'd take actors over politicians every day.

The funny thing is you could also plug in the word "ethics" in for "intelligence" and your statement still rings true. We should be looking for Intelligent and Ethical people to server in our political system first and then judge their policies after they have cleared those two hurdles.
