Any Purdue fans or recruiting savvy Hawk fans know the Carsen Edwards story?

Watching this kid shred the Ilini caused me to look up rivals info. Looks like moderate interest from KSU, Houston, and others, but only one offer from Purdue. Are there family ties to Purdue or did Painter just pull off a major coup?

Purdue has lots of talent, but this kid makes them click offensively. I would take 70% of Carsen Edwards in a heartbeat.

He had a real good game against us at their place but not so good in their loss to us. I was reading some of the Purdue threads afterwards and multiple posters were claiming that his ill-advised shots cost them the re-match at Carver.

These posts remind me of Beevis & Buthead...every time someone has a good game it's ... eeh,,eeh watta u think of that kid... ha butthead... shoulda recruited he-im Beevis... it never ends no matter who we get.

Yeah, I see the connection between you and Beavis and Butthead. Try spelling things right if you are going to reference them in failed attempts at flaming people.

First Tristan Trice, now Carson Edwards. Ihawkhoops, which would you prefer? And remember, we only get 13 scholarships so we can't have 'em all.

So, Edwards. He was a late bloomer. I watched his rankings slowly rise all last year. Great get for Painter, but considering all the 4*'s he was nabbing not long ago, and the results, this wasn't exactly the shining moment in his recruiting. Swannigan. Now that would be a shining moment.

I might have missed someone. And I think if I understand you, you are wondering if Iowa missed someone? We recruited a bunch, but not all of those guys. Interestingly, at least four of these guys stayed in their home state.

DanL, thanks for the response. To be clear, I was simply asking if someone knew about his recruitment. If I think we missed on someone (like Trice) I will state that clearly in my post. In this case, my post is what it is. I heard the BTN guys talking about Painter finding a hidden gem in TX and I was curious if there was a story.

While I appreciate being linked to Beavis & Butthead and a Fran slam all in the same thread, I have to call fake news here.

This time it was an innocent inquiry as to the recruitment of a talented freshman.
