I live in Indy and see tickets for the individual sessions are cheap. Have a conflict and can't attend Wednesday but scored two seats in 10th row, section 3 for Thursday night (IA vs MSU) for $33.08 "all in" ($16.54 each with Stubhub fees included). Just need Hawks to win on Wednesday!

Man I wish. Hope we can make a run and at least win 2. Winning 3, I would think, puts us on the 4 or 5 line.

I don't understand the disrespect for Iowa right now from people who do the rankings and projections. It's crazy... we have a ton of Q1 games and finished with a winning record in the deepest (not top end best) conference.

I know I'm beating a dead horse but I need someone to explain how it is possible to have Michigan ahead of Iowa in the projections.

I don't know if this is a serious question, but they are 11-7. We are 10-8.
If you mean Big 10 tourney, yes conference record matters.
But as far as NCAA seed, Iowa has a better resume.
Both same 20-9 record. Iowa won H2H at Michigan.
Michigan 1 spot ahead in net but they he a bad loss.
Also, Iowa lost 1 1/2 games when Hannah out for concussion which can be considered by committee.

Oh, I just assumed Big Ten Tourney. NCAA hasn't been released yet (obviously).

Believe there is one key word in here that tells you he's not talking about the BIG alone. Projections are about the big dance, not just the B1G conference record. The big dance is based on full resume. Which means a lot programs schedule cream puffs at the beginning of the year to pad their record.

Second BTT doesn't use projections, they use tie-breakers to become a self-filling bracket.

ESPN has us as 6 seed, Michigan as a 7. I guess I just don't understand what is happening.

Yes, you're correct on that projection after IA beat MI as they flipped spots on that one. However, there are several projections out there and almost all the rest have Michigan above Iowa (now some of that problem could be they haven't reseeded yet). The problem that we see is IA's resume already looked better before we beat MI and some of those brackets still had us at 8 or 9 seeds. So having brackets with MI above IA kinda looks criminal at this point. Even as recent as a week ago having us at a 8 or 9 seed was kinda a slap in the face based on full resume.

EDIT:
Btw, MI's net ranking is now 27 and IA is at 28. It's a mad mad world out there.

Got it.

Oh, wow. That's a HUGE difference. ONE game. Of course, Iowa beat USC. Michigan didn't. Iowa "lost" to UCLA 67-65. Iowa also lost two games in OT and a 1-point game. Sometimes you are what your record says you are, and sometimes you aren't. Anyone who thinks Michigan is better than Iowa is failing the eye test big time, not to mention failing to do a bit of analysis beyond the superficial W-L record.
