I have never been embarrassed to be an American, until now. I don’t know how long I’ll feel like this, but the way we have treated countries like Japan, Canada, the EU, and others is deplorable. If we ever get into another world war type engagement, the rest of the world knows exactly who they won’t be trusting. And that’s scary.

I was a little embarrassed after Madeline Albright told 60 Minutes it was "worth it" when the US sanctions killed over 500,000 kids to stop Saddam's non-existent WMD programs.

I am more mad and hateful at the Dumpster and REpubs to be embarrassed. If I was dealing with foreigners a lot yes I would be very apologetic about what our leaders are doing. To answer the OPs question...no. But I was terribly after the Afghan debacle.
The re-establishment of American power and wielding it to get treated fairly is long overdue. We are the most successful and generous country in the history of the world. Other countries continuing to take advantage of us, to our detriment, needs to end.
This includes militarily for their defense and our expense, limitation of goods under pretense etc...
I am embarrassed for our leadership but not to be an American. While in Mexico a few weeks back I did my best to give people I encountered a good impression of Americans. Worked on all but one drunk 20'something girl in CDMX..
