Cure 81 isn’t terrible. Amana ham? No? Definitely edible? Yep. My wife and I will make 3-4 meals out of the ham. Paninis. Omelettes. I will probably sous vide part of it Sunday. But I understand what you’re saying.

Fareway has a buy $50 in meat at the meat counter get an up to a 14# turkey. I guess did have that.

My mom loved that deal. For a few years after she passed I would find myself gravitating towards this purchase to honor her memory. Mom loved thinking she got a deal, and she grew up super poor, so low quality ham didn't bother her.

Did it too. Got a 20# bird so we paid the 6# difference. Part of the $50 meat was 6 chicken hind qtrs we will toss in with turkey.......big family!
