Anyone else smell cigarettes all day since having COVID?

A friend of mine lost his sense of smell and taste back in October from Covid. Came back a month later. Then about January 1st he said everything started to smell and taste like rotten garbage. That hasn't gone away yet.

So weird. In November, I smelled cigarettes for days. Everywhere I went. My car, bed, work, etc. And I don’t even know anyone that smokes. Coffee was the worst. Smelled so bad. I complained to my wife, she thought I was nuts.

I’ve never had COVID to my knowledge. I had a physical on 11/11 and was tested for antibodies. Negative. I smelled cigarettes from about 11/14 - 11/20 then it just stopped. I was COVID tested on 12/1; negative. So MAYBE I had it briefly after the antibody test on the 11th and before my test on 12/1? I don’t know but I sure as hell smelled cigarettes everywhere and I didn’t know it was common. I thought I was going crazy. Or had a tumor.
