Anyone else thinking “Landman” is a pretty great series

I like the show (usually NOT a fan of Sheridan’s shows).

Thornton is absolutely fantastic. Perfect for the role. I would love to work with a guy like that. No nonsense, no BS, but yet only a dick if it is warranted. A stand-up guy to those who are also stand-up. Witty as all get out.

Can’t stand the wife and daughter scenes, but, they are definitely from Taylor’s playbook. Larter is quite unlikeable, though I suppose she has calmed down some. The daughter is ever-so-slightly less annoying.

The son Cooper is a pretty likeable character. Lawyer Nate is good.

Was stunned at the fact that the Jerry Jones scene caused the opposite of what I expected to be an eye roll reaction from me. I liked that scene and felt that episode was the best yet. Also like Jon Hamm, when I often don’t.

Definitely do have some Taylor Sheridan eye roll moments. But not enough to tune me out.

Some of Billy Bob’s rants about oil and gas are pretty “real life”. Loved his education of the hottie lawyer towards the end of the series finale when they were out in the field, as I felt that it rang very true to real life.

Also loved the hottie lawyer deposition scene early on. Will be interested to see how the dynamic is between her and Tommy as Season 2 unfolds.

Love this show.

I also was surprised at how good the Jerry Jones scene was. Whodathunk

The show is great. I could do without the son and his widow girlfriend storyline but his oil storyline has some potential. I'm definitely okay with BBT's wife and daughter because they are smoke.

Was very very happy to see
Andy Garcia
show up in the finale. He's the man

This show is pretty much Friday NIght Lights with oil instead of football

It's decently entertaining. Some annoying parts in every episode. The writing is bad in spots... but that's Sheridan. BBT is the clear bright spot... and is it me or has he looked about the same for 30 years.

SPOILER ALERT

There has to be another one or two seasons. Need to show the wife's gamble fail meanwhile the son is successful and Billy Bob is stuck in the middle of it all. The cartel and the oil business has to get heated too....

most of the rants about oil and gas are not "real life" they just have no one to fact check sheridan, whose self righteousness is brutal.
